MITCHELL ROFSKY is President of Better World Club, Inc. His experience represents nearly two decades of leading businesses that market environmental products and nonprofit organizations that support environmental stewardship. Prior to the merger, Mitch was President of American Consumer Insurance Agency, Inc. (ACI), a property and casualty insurance broker. Prior to this, he was President of Working Assets Capital Management, which managed one of the leading socially screened mutual fund families in the nation. Mitch formerly was an attorney for Ralph Nader's Public Citizen, and was also the first chair of Business for Social Responsibility. He received a JD from the University of California at Los Angeles and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

GARETH MACKRILL is CIO for Better World Club, Inc. Gareth is responsible for web development at betterworldclub.com, design of promotional and informational materials, contributing and editing Better World Club's eNewsletters, Kicking Asphalt and Driving Change, and Customer Services support. Prior to this Gareth worked as a Technical Manager in the UK travel industry.

ERIK NELSON is VP of Activism for Better World Club, Inc. Erik coordinates many of Better World Club's advocacy efforts, including the publication of 'Driving Change', Better World Club's Action Alert. He is also the editor of 'Kicking Asphalt', Better World Club's flagship enewsletter. Prior to this, Erik worked as an Account Manager in the logistics industry. He also served as a Health Education Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa. Erik has a BA in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Oregon. He is also an ordained minister, and is qualified to officiate your wedding or funeral, but not your Bris.

KELLY WARD is VP of Sales and Service. She manages the renewal of members as well as the fleet program. If she can’t answer a question, she will know who can. She is a conservationist at heart and has worked with both OSPIRG and the Sierra Club. She also spent a year as an Americorp Volunteer before joining the team at Better World. She grew up in Vacaville, CA and spent a couple of years in Indiana before landing in Oregon. Anthropology was her study of choice and received a Bachelors degree from Linfield College. While attending Linfield she was able to study in both Europe and Asia. This experience helped her to gain appreciation and respect for all people and the planet.

CHRIS MERKEL is our Copyeditor and Senior Sales and Service Representative. He handles renewals, new member sales, and member questions. Arguably the least illiterate staff member here at BWC, he also proofs all of our newsletters for grammar and spelling. Chris is a dedicated activist who has worked for both OSPIRG and the Sierra Club. When he's not slaving away at Better World Club, Chris volunteers his precious free time campaigning for progressive initiatives. Chris grew up in Columbus, OH, and attended Ohio State University, earning degrees in Japanese Literature and International Relations.
